— Tommy Hilfiger — Ramadan Collection
For the 2016 Ramadan Capsule Collection, I fused the brand’s red, white and blue heritage with design and cultural influences from the Middle East. The geometric pattern presents the idea of the sun setting, the sun rising and the eight phases of the moon cycle – all relating back to the core concept of light. Floor-sweeping gowns, delicate blouses, and flowing skirts make up the majority of the collection, which comes in jeweled colour tones with velvet reds, satiny black, and creamy whites incorporated throughout.

Concept, Logo & Layout Design
Drawing Inspiration from the prominent use of light at the time of Ramadan. Creating a look and feel that references the transition from day to night. Light represents knowledge, and faith, and is used to mark the start and end of the fasting during each day – the sun rising and the sun setting – The light of the luna phase also dictates the beginning and end of the month of Ramadan.
